These terms govern access to and use of the Harrington Trust Brokerage website and software platform. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the platform for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.
1. About the platform
Harrington Trust provides software for fleet, rental, insurance and related operational workflows. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Harrington Trust is not an insurer, broker or financial adviser and does not itself provide insurance advice, underwriting decisions or regulated permissions.
2. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential and use only the account and organisation access assigned to you. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, attempt to bypass security or permissions, introduce malicious code, interfere with availability, scrape the platform, access another party’s data without authority, or use the service unlawfully.
4. Organisation responsibilities
Customer organisations are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information they enter, user access they approve, their regulatory status, customer communications, insurance decisions and compliance with laws applying to their activity.
5. Quotes, policies and third parties
Quotes, policy terms, underwriting decisions, vehicle information and other third-party content are supplied by the relevant organisation or provider. Availability is not guaranteed, and users must review the final documents and terms issued by the provider.
6. Fees and payment
Any subscription, transaction or service fees are governed by the order, plan or commercial agreement shown when purchased. Taxes may apply. Third-party payment services may be subject to separate terms.
7. Intellectual property
Harrington Trust and its licensors retain rights in the platform, branding, software and documentation. You retain rights in your content and grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process and display it in order to provide the service.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may maintain, improve or change features, and may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, legal or operational reasons.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, decisions made by insurers or fleet operators, or loss caused by inaccurate user-supplied information or third-party services.
10. Ending use
You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or end access for material breach, unlawful use, security risk, non-payment or as otherwise permitted by a commercial agreement.
11. Governing law
Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
